This battery adapter works like a charm for me. It was a perfect fit for my very old B & D string trimmer/edger for which I had no batteries. I have quite a number of RIDGID batteries (2amp, 4 amp, 6 amp and even 8 amp) and they all slide right into the adapter and then I'm off! I pay close attention to my usage time because I don't want to damage my batteries and the product details make it clear one can do just that by running them all the way down. Anyway, this adapter turned a yard tool that had become useless into a better, stronger one that I love being able to use again.
Works fine. It let me use with complete transparency all my Ryobi batteries for my Skill machine. Great product and very useful !

Had to do a bit of dremel work on the existing wall mount to make the adaptor shoehorn into it, but nothing too difficult.
Retrained the family to use the powertool batts and all is good.

Great adapter. It saves me throwing good black and decker tools away just because the ni-cad batteries are dead. As I have many DeWalt batteries, I am now able to continue using them

This adaptor fit perfectly & worked as designed but my first use was on a Milwalkee reciprocating saw with a 5AH battery The slots holding the battery to the adaptor failed after five minutes of intermittent use causing the battery to fall off
I corrected this by using a velcro strap to keep the battery & adaptor connected to the saw
I believe your product was working as designed & that my expectations with a high powered battery was the problem
I still use it with the velcro strap, so I still gave 4 stars on the review
Adapter works as advertised. Nice tight fit with no slack. Worth the money.
Received my adapter, and now I don't have to worry about Porter-Cable's decision [or: worry because Porter-Cable decided to make it hard] to buy original batteries, since they are hard to get and I can use my RYOBI batteries, as I already have several. Excellent purchase!
